Architectural photography St Austell for Absolute Architecture
A luxury house portfolio for Absolute Architecture — architectural photography St Austell by JawPhotography, covering the property for portfolio and marketing materials.
Delivery
I captured around 100 frames. Then I delivered every image in both colour and black and white. Each file was colour-corrected in Lightroom from RAW. Afterwards it was refined in Photoshop. Finally the set was ready for Absolute Architecture’s portfolio.
Technique
Everything was shot at maximum resolution on a tripod. That keeps ISO low. It also helps straighten horizontals and verticals that wide-angle lenses can distort. I used a Nikon 14–24mm full-frame lens. Therefore it is ideal for architecture and landscape work.
Projects like this suit my style. I like time to refine angles and exposure. However, when highlights or shadows are extreme, I combine multiple exposures. Each new job pushes the quality of the Cornwall property portfolio further. See also our property photography page, or enquire about similar commissions.
Why clients need a tripod
Good architecture photography Cornwall work takes patience. First, I walk the building and note how light moves through each room. Then I plan the order of shots around the sun. As a result, kitchens and living spaces look bright but natural. In addition, I keep verticals straight so walls never lean. For more on correcting lines, see an overview of architectural photography.
Architects, builders and estate agents often use these images. For example, they appear on websites, award entries and printed brochures. Because of that, every file is delivered at full resolution. If you are planning a shoot in St Austell or elsewhere in Cornwall, I am happy to talk through your project and share how architecture photography Cornwall clients typically brief a day on site.
