Absolute Architecture is a talented and friendly architectural company (based in Newbury Berkshire). I photographed a luxurious property to produce a series of images to be used primarily for their portfolio amongst other marketing materials
I really enjoyed photographing this project for Absolute Architecture. I captured around 100 images and I delivered all images in both colour and black and white. Every image was carefully colour corrected and adjusted using both Lightroom to process the RAW files and Photoshop to make finer adjustments. All images were photographed at maximum resolution (RAW) and on a tripod which allows me to use lower ISOs but more importantly it also allows me to align horizontals and verticals which can often look distorted when shooting with wide angled lenses suited for architectural photography. Speaking of lenses I used a Nikon 14-24 FX lens (Full Frame) which is a beautiful lens and an absolute pleasure to use. I really enjoy using this lens and it’s perfect for both architecture and landscape photography
I am looking forward to additional architectural projects as this type of photography suits my style of work. I prefer having the time to concentrate on angles, exposure and thinking about how to best capture images based on my workflow and digital manipulation tools I have available in post. I certainly don’t mind capturing multiple exposures and combining in software if it means producing better quality images in extreme cases of very bright highlights or dark shadows. With each new architectural project I hope to improve on the quality of my photography producing great images for my growing portfolio
